Try alternative browsers:
Most computer users use the default browser that comes included with the computer, with Microsoft Windows this is Internet Explorer. There are several great alternative browsers that are all free to download and use and may have features your current browser does not include. Below are a few of our favorites, try one or try them all.

Did you know your computer could have viruses without you even knowing? Typically it will tend to run a bit more slugish, and get slower over time. It is wise to remove them ASAP, because viruses can cause damage to the operating system.
Have a lot of open tabs open in your browser? Try holding down Ctrl and then tap on the Tab button your keyboard to quickly and easily go to your next open browser tab!

You don’t need the http:// portion of a web page
When typing an Internet address you do not need to type http:// or even www. in the address. For example, if you wanted to visit Geeks inc. webpage, you could just type Geekinc.net and press enter. To make things even quicker, if you’re visiting a .com or a .net address you can type Geekinc and then press Ctrl + Enter to type out the full http://www.geekinc.net address.
Replacing your old mouse (one that uses a mouse ball) with an optical mouse will make it easier to control your computer!
Why Change?
When using your laptop, be sure not to cover up the cooling fan with your leg or a blanket. The laptop can overheat and cause damage to the system.

What does the Escape key do?
In Windows, the escape key is used as a shortcut in dialog boxes for No, Quit, Exit, Cancel, or Abort, as well as a common shortcut key for the Stop button in web browsers.

SELECTING A BLOCK OF TEXT IN WORD/WEB BROWSER
Click the left-hand mouse button at the start of the text to be selected. Move the “I-beam” to the end of the text to be selected hold down the Ctrl key and press the left-hand mouse button.
From here you can copy and paste the selected text.
